JULIET’S BALCONY

Juliet’s house is located in Via Cappello, a short distance from the central Piazza Erbe. The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet found confirmation in Verona and, when imagination mixed legend and reality, various places where the story narrated by Shakespeare would take place were recognized.
This is an important tourist attraction. The passageway that gives access to the courtyard in the past was entirely covered with graffiti and love notes left by many visitors. Since summer 2015 it has been the setting for some of the main pieces of the travelling show Romeo and Juliet, organized by the Teatro Nuovo in Verona; here, the famous dance and balcony scenes are performed.

PIAZZA ERBE

Piazza Erbe is the oldest square in Verona (it stands where the Roman Forum once stood) and also the most loved Italian urban area in the world. Framed by historic buildings and by the two city towers, Piazza Erbe is one of the most evocative corners of Verona, for centuries the fulcrum of the economic, social and religious life of the city.
Today it is full of cafes, restaurants, shops and a characteristic stall market that makes it one of a kind.

CORSO PORTONI BORSARI

Porta Borsari was the main door to the Roman city, entering the important Via Postumia on the maximum decumanus. A stone’s throw from the Suite you can therefore access the heart of the city, which also contains the main shopping streets: Via Mazzini, Via Pellicciai, Via Cappello, Via Roma, Corso Porta Borsari, Corso Santa Anastasia and Piazza delle Erbe.

THE VERONA ARENA

The Verona Arena is one of the largest amphitheatres in Italy and the most famous monument in Verona. In this building, built by the Romans around the middle of the 1st century AD, different types of shows took place: fights between gladiators and hunts for wild and exotic animals. The elliptical shape is designed to accommodate a large number of spectators (about 30,000). Today the Arena is a great attraction for opera lovers from all over the world; there are also numerous pop music concerts that from this splendid and evocative setting always manage to give great emotions.
